This device is an avr HIGH VOLTAGE PARALLEL programmer that is designed to program all fuses, no matter what may have been previously programmed. If you mistakenly programmed the RSTDISBL fuse, disabled the SPIEN fuse, or programmed the wrong values in the CKSEL fuses, NO PROBLEM! Simply insert any avr from device list below and connect power. Within one second, fuses will be restored to factory settings. Now Three modes of operation. Mode 1 allows code to be preserved while fuses are restored to factory settings. (lock bits must not be programmed) Mode 2 simply restores fuses to factory settings even if the lock bits have been programmed (Code will be erased) ***Mode 3 (advanced mode) allows writing of any fuse value even if device is not in the device list below. Now better than ever, Mode 3 will support many more devices including the older mature avr's! Needs no computer!*** Once fuses are restored to factory settings, you can program the avr using your favorite ISP programmer and software. This programmer pays for itself in just a few uses. If you have half a dozen atmega's or attiny devices that have been programmed incorrectly, simply restore them all in just a few minutes. No need to spend money to replace the avr's! This programmer is not designed to extract code from a device where the lock bits have been programmed! Please do not ask. Supports 45 AVR devices (see below) *** Computer can be connected to debug port on programmer using the RS232 to TTL Converter or the USB2TTL below (not included) if you want to access advanced mode. This is only necessary in order to access advanced mode (mode3). Green LED indicates success, Yellow LED indicates error programming fuses. It's that easy! YOU MUST USE A POWER SUPPLY THAT EXCEEDS 13.5 VDC positive center (not included) to ensure reliability in programming. Instructions will be included with purchase. AVR Standalone ISP Programmer

This device will program any avr (in the
device list below) without the use of a computer.**** Power can either
be supplied by the target (as low as 3 VDC) or directly using a 9VDC
power adapter with positive center (not included). This can easily be
changed using a simple jumper setting (J3). Standalone operation is
invoked when jumper J2 is installed.
**** A computer is required to load the hex file to the memory, (up to 31K flash file, 1K eeprom) Once loaded, the file remains in memory and the unit will perform as a standalone unit. Connection can be made through a 9 pin straight through serial cable (not included) to any serial port. If your computer does not have a serial port, our USB to Serial cable (below) has been tested works well with this programmer. Any terminal program can be used to upload the hex file. For best results, download Tera Term here, and follow the instructions on setting up the terminal carefully (instructions are included with the purchase of the programmer). |
